On Monday, with six days to go before our Kickstarter deadline of Sunday night, Swedish Lessons hit our goal of $7,000. Woo-hoo! This is no small deal. A key element of Kickstarter is that it’s all or nothing. If we’d raised $6,500, we would have gotten zero, and there would be no book. And I would be very sad.
Writing Retreat Part Deux: The editing edition
There have been two big goals going on for me in February. One of these has been difficult to miss. For the past three weeks I’ve been blathering about my Kickstarter campaign to fund the self-publishing of my book, Swedish Lessons. The Swedish Lessons Origin Story
So as it turns out, running a crowdfunding campaign is pretty much a full time job. This would be no big deal if I didn’t already have one of those. [giggles nervously; hopes none of her editors are reading this] The work as all been fun, however, especially this week, during which we passed 50% funding and celebrated with this ridiculous video.
